To safeguard the children in our care, we ensure that the correct staffing ratios are maintained at all times.
An adult will always be present at the main door at morning arrivals and evening departures.
Children will only be allowed to leave the nursery with a parent, guardian or other authorised person.
Regular risk assessments and safety checks are made to ensure that all equipment and play areas are safe for use.
CCTV Cameras are fitted throughout the setting in several locations.

Meals are prepared using fresh produce in order to provide well balanced, nutritious meals for the children who attend Badger's Barn. We encourage the children to become involved in the preparations of weekly menus, making them more aware of Healthy Choices. The children have breakfast, cooked lunch and afternoon tea. A menu is displayed for parents to see each day.
Meals are provided using a variety of fresh fruit and vegetables to ensure that the recommended ‘five a day’ requirements are met. Fresh water is also available for all the children throughout the day from water coolers.
Vegetarians and special diets can be catered for upon request.
The setting has gained prestigious ‘Safer Food / Better Business’ awards annually since opening in 2000.
