Children have access to outdoor play in all weathers. There is a choice of apparatus to promote and develop large muscles and gross motor skills...
Being outdoors can have a positive impact on a child’s sense of well being. This can help in all aspects of their development, giving them first hand experience of seasons, weather and the natural world around them. We also like to take trips out into the local community to visit the library, train station, farms and the local park as well as finding out more about the world around us with walks up Helsby Hill.
We have a range of equipment for the children to choose from such as bikes, scooters, bean bags, chalk boards, playhouses, dolls, prams and balls.
Secure decking areas with canopies can be accessed throughout the day during all seasons. Some play areas are surfaced with rubber matting to ensure safety at all times.
At Badger's Barn we have our very own ‘Woodland Garden’ which provides excellent learning opportunities for children to explore and use their senses. We provide appropriate resources so that the children can extend their learning and understanding on how things work and grow, and to help them find out about living things and objects.
Climbing frames, balance beams, swings and playhouses also give the children chance to freely develop their physical, social and creative skills.
At Badger's Barn we believe that the outdoors is “Just another classroom without a roof!”
