Our ethos

The rooms at Badger’s Barn Pre-School are well equipped with a wide range of play materials including soft toys, books, painting, water and sand activities....

There are areas where children can rest, read or sit quietly. There are also facilities for music, dance and movement.

In the main Pre-school you'll find the Yellow Ducks and the Bumble Bees busy playing and having lots of fun.

The Conservatory is home to our Green Frogs.

All groups have access to the following areas: -

Play Area
An area for tabletop activities such as drawing, colouring, cutting out, jigsaws, games, Lego and threading… the list goes on.

Activity area
kids4For exploring their creative skills through art and craft, painting, junk modeling, sand, water and play dough.

For the younger children we have a carpeted area with a host of things to do: construction, dolls house, a farm, a train set, cars, a garage etc.

Quiet area
The children can relax with creature comforts, sofas and cushions, maybe listen to some music, have stories read or have a rest during a busy day

Pre-school and computer room
kids3At 3 years old we start to prepare our Green Frogs and Red Robins for entrance into mainstream school entrance.

We believe in order to help improve learning through play and recreation; the children are given choices of either joining in themed projects and organized activities or free play.

In the computer room children are introduced to I.T., learning mouse control and basic keyboard skills.
